$13k/month is not much (or even less, depending on location) to take care of so many people. For all those who say "I'd love to make that much" - careful what you wish for - particularly when it comes with so many hands out.
Agree with all the comments about the boss - she sounds like a lovely piece of work - although he's not helping the situation...
