28 years and separate accounts the whole time. The bills get paid every month, and who pays what usually depends on where the money happens to come from as our incomes have fluctuated wildly (understatement) in relation to each other the whole time.

We've talked about it and don't see the big deal - although have often wondered (out loud) what's wrong with us. (Our kids have plenty of answers to that one!)

She also kept her maiden name - mostly 'cuz she thinks mine is stupid and hers is cool. (When we got married, she graciously offered to let me take hers)
