A couple of open positions for a buddy of mine at a company he really wanted to be at — one of their recruiters called him up, he went through several rounds of interviews and then crickets.

A month later, he was called by a different internal recruiter about the other position. 3 rounds of interviews later he was told that b/c he’d already interviewed for one position, he would be disqualified from consideration for both(!)
