Ah, those pesky facts again!

Just got off a forum where someone was advised to call the cops on a 7-year old who had knocked on their door b/c he wanted to see her exotic birds. People were screaming about "rampant crime" - in Irvine, Ca - and that child was "casing the joint" so he could come back and steal. Someone pointed out that crime rates had indeed been falling, only to be shouted down by the "I believe my own eyes" crowd.

I believe that the longest lasting stain on our country due to trump and his sycophants is the notion that facts have less weight than uninformed opinions.
