And every time there is an active shooter drill at a school, make all the parents come too. They can wait outside in a "safe" zone and then given few details as to exactly what is transpiring inside the buildings. Maybe every once in a while you have one of those in charge say something like "we count 6 bodies in the cafeteria", while providing no more details. Let 20 or 30 kids run free after an hour or so and let the rest of the parents wonder if their child is alive or dead inside.

Until the people actually making these policies are affected by them directly, nothing will change. It's easy to be cruel and heartless (women's reproductive rights, LGBTQ+, BLM) when the rights being affected are someone else's, particularly when that group can be leveraged for political gain.

Put Ted Cruz, MTG, Josh Hawley, Paul Gosar, and a hundred other people I could name into a real live shooter situation with only a single person armed with a 38 to protect them. Televise the whole thing so they can't weasel out it and their actions (lack of) can be judged by the country and, damn.... This already happened on Jan 6th and those ass hats have been working over time to convince us that what we saw back then never really happened...
