Climate models are used by corporations like the bible is used by (too many) christians - i.e. they are used to justify a particular position. Hey - I get to keep raking in the $$ or denying people healthcare b/c the model/bible tells me it's cool.
These are the same type of economic models that tell a company in West Virginia it's ok to level that mountain to extract the coal. Suck out all the $$, then move on b/c it's not profitable to clean up the toxic mess left behind or take care of the workers who are now out of a job. (Then we elect representatives in those same regions who relax environmental regulation because "it's bad for business" - then we let them do it all over again)
Time for some more robust models that inform action instead of justifying inaction...
