Ever since the word "Christian" has been co-opted for political reasons by right-wing zealots, I no longer use the word when describing my faith - "Jesus-follower" has a good hippy vibe that irritates the hell out of 'em and has little of the judgemental baggage.
Now if someone could come up with a word I can use instead of "patriot" to describe my support if the US, I'd be most appreciative.
