Exactly! We talk about "our kids are our future" and yet refuse to properly support those we've put in the position to prepare them for the world we've messed up so badly.

I remember a time from Jr. High when one of my friends raised his hand in class and asked why the teachers had a ping-pong table in their lounge. "Uh - so we can play ping pong?" My friend's face said it all - he simply couldn't imagine a world where teachers were actual people with actual lives who might actually like to play every now and then...

You have an amazingly difficult job and i wish everyone had to spend at least year in education to better appreciate what it takes to support our teachers.
