As a parent, one of the first things we did with our 2 boys is to teach them that their decisions have consequences. Granted, as a 4-year old it's more along the lines of "I don't want chicken fingers now, o want a cheeseburger" - but you have to hold the line. Eventually they learn to make better choices.
I guess there are a lot of Republicans out there who ordered chicken fingers and then complained enough to get a cheeseburger...
