My short answer to anyone who uses the word "can't" is to have them replace it with "choose not to"

"We can't afford healthcare for all" is the equivalent of my 13-year old saying "I can't clean my room right now".

No - "I choose to play a video game instead of cleaning my room and will gladly suffer the consequences" is the true answer
