Abortion, like homosexuality, is merely a "concept" to most people. Very easy to apply certainty to something that doesn't affect us directly, while feeding into our 3rd-grade biblical understandings.

Concepts and ideals apply to others. When faced with actual people in our lives that face hard choices and discrimination, many either change their tune or find ways to rationalize their own exceptionalism.

Love God, love your neighbor - Jesus distilled his message down to those two simple statements. No "ifs", no "buts", no "what ifs". Life is hard enough for everyone - learn to love more and judge less.
