Here's a potential counter -
I landed at my current role with a Fortune 50 company after 5 rounds of interviews. 2 reasons I see this as a positive:
1) The interviews were all completed within 7 days, with an offer extended on the 10th - they didn't drag it out.
2) Gave me a chance to meet different people within the organization that I would be working with/reporting to - glad I had that experience.
I also had a few where the 5 rounds were dragged out over 6 weeks and 1/2 of them were horrible - not people I would want to spend time with if given the choice AND the pay usually sucked.
So - I agree with you, but also have a slightly different take where it could be beneficial - cheers!
