Homelessness is a symptom and result of many other policies - "getting rid of homeless people" is just pushing them off to make them someone else's problem. Taking aspirin for a fever may knock it down a bit - but it doesn't cure the underlying condition.
Every person in the street has a unique story - and a huge percentage of people in this country are a relatively small accident away from joining them.

Fix the inequality. Fix the high cost of housing. Fix the high cost of healthcare. The numbers of homeless will drop dramatically and leave us with a problem that will be more manageable.

You don't fix homelessness by making it illegal and hiring more police.
