Clean it up a bit perhaps, make sure it’s stabilized, preserve artifacts, etc. But take the $billion or so that will spent restoring it (again) and spend them on people instead of a building.

We spend an awful lot of time/money on symbols — I like your comments about well-being of people and society and where our focus should be…
