I dunno - unfortunately "Democrats" doesn't mean one single thing, and the qualifier seems to be "not-batshit-crazy". If one group simply wants to be an anchor on the barest appearance of actual governance, then the other group has to be just as focused on moving in a unified direction. They can get pretty close, but it only takes a couple of senators with complete and utter contempt for their constituents to keep us moving forward.

The solution of course, is to elect better representatives. I have as much confidence in the American people to make better voting decisions as I do my 2 teenage boys to suddenly discover a love for math. When a large percentage of our population starts taking horse de-wormer and drinking their own urine instead of a vaccine that's been safely administered over 9b times, I sincerely doubt their capability to comprehend the economic ramifications of listening professional liars who convince them that billionaires need our help to survive.

I honestly don't give a rip about filibuster reform, but would far prefer that we simply (lol) elect better representatives. You think Manchin/Sinema would be onboard with anything being proposed? We can't even get 50 votes now for a watered-down social bill - getting rid of the filibuster won't change that.
