I have many (many) friends (and one child) who work as professional musicians, and always (always) buy their latest albums - on vinyl, with a T-shirt if available. To your point, those extra levels of commitment do motivate me to give the whole thing 10 or 20 listens to discover which tracks I really enjoy. Sometimes the answer is "all", sometimes not - but share your realization that the effort is often rewarded.
