I have too many friends who are teachers (hah - no such thing as too many teacher friends!) and it kills me to see how many of the really great ones are being driven from the profession. Phenomenal teachers who give abundantly of their time, talent and treasure to provide a foundation and framework for learning and life - just forced to jump through so many unnecessary and illogical hoops to keep their jobs. This is just another layer of crazy on top of an already impossible job.
