I realize that I do this purely for my own amusement - but I love to point to the Pathfinder mission and remark that it's like firing a really large bullet at 12,000mph and hitting a target 7 months later, but so softly that an egg wouldn't break at any point on the trip. Do you feel comfortable discussing orbital mechanics with the people who figured out how to do something like this? Do you think you opinions are even in the same universe as "valid"?
Someone like Dr. Fauci knows as much about immunology as those JPL scientists do about orbital mechanics - as do the deniers (absolutely nothing). The only difference is that you don't see Facebook memes calling JPL scientists "sheep" and trying to poke fun at launch vectors and escape velocities.
