I remain irrationally optimistic that his campaign is purposely dragging this out - let the GOP tear pieces off each other through the first couple of primaries and then kick things into gear.
There has been healing in the country from where we were 4 years ago, although we have pretty short memories of those days.
I believe that given the current state of extremely divisive politics, it would have been near impossible for anyone else to do a better job. I mean - c'mon - the House can't even elect a speaker without twisting itself into knots, and you expect actual legislation that could help actual people could sneak through?
Is he my perfect candidate - hell no - but I'm pretty confident that my perfect candidate would get something like .5% of the vote anyway :)
