I think it depends on exactly what is meant by "tech" in this context. No argument from me that (almost) everyone wants a 30-year old with 10 years' experience - but I'm on my third Product job in the last 6 years (at age 60). In all honesty, these 3 Ps are how I sell myself to potential employers. Frankly, if the potential suitor doesn't respect those traits, I don't want to be there either...
