I truly do not understand the appeal - from the husband point of view. Sounds pretty boring and unfulfilling - where's the fun in subservience? I wanted (and got) a partner to wrestle with, to challenge me, to (help) make me a better person than I would be on my own.

I remember going on dates and being asked to order for them - WTF?? Do you want me to cut up your food and feed you too?

32 years later and going strong - my life is far richer than I could have imagined - even if I do have to sleep with one eye open after a fight...
