I try not to engage anymore either - just worn out from the endless amount of patience (and medication) needed to get through another "conversation" where someone tries to equate their feelings with proven, scientific facts.
My latest strategy is simple: "Oh, CRT - yeah - which part do you have trouble with?" I ask innocently. If they respond "all of it" (like trump trying to answer which is his favorite verse in the bible), I'll follow up with "well, it's pretty complicated - so there has to be a couple of things that really stick out to you".
If they double down on the "all of it" answer, I simply respond with "that's the answer a child gives when they didn't do their homework - I don't think this is a discussion we can have" and refuse to play anymore.
Doesn't change their little minds at all - but at least I get a modicum of satisfaction...
