I'm not advocating this as a good strategy, but the last couple of years I've simply starting asking questions of my conservative ̶f̶i̶r̶e̶n̶d̶s̶ acquaintances- such as:

"Exactly which century should roll back our country to make you happy?"

"How young can your first-cousin be and still be able to marry her?"

"Do you think the State should pay child support to the woman who was forced to carry her rapist's child to term? Does he have visitation rights from prison, or are you going to force them to marry?"

"Since medicare for all is socialist communisim because you are paying for someone else's healthcare - how do you feel about public roads, police, fire departments, corporate bailouts and a thousand other things we (those in the bottom 90% at least) pay for and rarely, if ever use?"

I haven't changed anyone's mind, or even mildly challenged their beliefs, but at least I feel better...
