In 2016 we protested b/c it fet like huge mistake had been made due to overconfidence and the electoral college. We protested b/c we knew we stood with a majority of Americans.
Now? We've been gut-punched. A majority of Americans chose the shit-sandwich with broken glass over the chicken, or (perhaps worse) looked at both and decided it was too much of an effort to choose either.
We don't live in the country we think we did and just maybe it needs to get (much) worse before it gets better.
