Laid off on a Friday afternoon from a small (40 person) agency. Same deal with the "here's a box, we're going to wake you out to the parking lot, no you can't talk to anyone, sign here that you won't leave a negative review on Glassdoor if you want your PTO" bs...

Apparently they never told anyone (small office-remember?) B/c when I ran into a couple of my ex-colleagues 4 months later I was greeted with a "where have you been? Everything ok?"
