Listened to a Malcolm Gladwell podcast - "Hallelujah" - which addressed this very concept. Genius can take many forms and work in many different ways.

Leonard Cohen wrote more than 200 verses for "Hallelujah" over two year period. Bob Dylan wrote "Tangled up in Blue" in 30 minutes.

Not a professional writer here, but if I've got a story to tell on Medium, I'll generally pound it out in one sitting. Every word is perfect.

Then I re-read it a day later and fix it.
