Love #8 - have started doing this to a degree in the last couple of Olympics and my enjoyment is up 100%.

I do make exceptions for American athletes when they are a) under-supported and b) the underdog. Watching Molly Seidel win the bronze medal at the last games was pretty dang emotional for me.
