Love this piece!
Always amazes me that companies completely ignore that fact that interviewing well is a completely separate skill, which completely ignored until it's time to fill a seat. You walk in, pick up the resume and start asking questions - how hard can it be?
There's this common (mis)understanding that since we've all sat on the hopeful side of the table, it's not hard to swap roles. But of course most people suck at it, leading to multiple rounds of interviews that give no more assurance of a good fit than a blind coin toss.
