Love your work, Mike - I don't always agree with you, but I'll accept a well-reasoned argument any day of the week!

This piece is spot on - GOP has been moving closer and closer to irrelevancy over the past few years as they make their desperate attempts at maintaining power. All this wasted time and effort trying to ram through legislature that is the stuff of fascist wet dreams and has less than a zero chance of getting past the Senate, much less a signature from the Executive branch. They have confused culture wars and social media engagement as leadership, while successfully neutering their own agendas.

After the stop-gap funding bill passed, I was hopeful that McCarthy had learned his lesson - but then he flipped on the Dems who'd supported his bill. Their complete and total rejection of his speakership was glorious. Totally agree with the "sit on the sidelines, eat popcorn and watch the GOP tear itself apart" strategy.
