Michael Lewis' book was an eye-opener for me as well. There are thousands of incredible folks working for the government who are doing amazing jobs at a fraction of what they could be making in the private sector.

They are not (all) asking for more $$ for themselves, but not being attacked and vilified constantly would be a nice start...
