Really glad you called this out - it's far too easy to just say "blame the parents" when the reality is that the majority are doing the best they can with zero support or training. (Training can simply mean, how they were raised and taught)

Like all men, I was hyper-critical of my father's parenting skills, but (like most of us) after having kids realized it's way harder than it looks!

I also look at how he was raised to see where he got his "training" - did he do better than his dad? Hell yeah...
