So many examples of this in my own life - was rejected by a recruiter for a global Product role b/c I "lacked leadership experience" although I'd run my own company for 10 years. A month later out of the blue, a call from a different internal recruiter who thought I was a perfect fit. 1 week and 6 interviews later I had an offer in my hand and have been working there ever since.

(I was even introduced to the first recruiter a few months later. I didn't even let on that I knew who she was...)
